Token Gating Your App with the DropChain API
Token gating is a method to restrict access to certain parts of your app based on the user's token holdings. With the DropChain API, you can easily implement token gating without any web3 experience. You can use the asset_indexer_lookup endpoint to check the user's token holdings and implement token gating logic based on the returned assets.
You might want to use this API endpoint when displaying a user's inventory or app wallet. In the event the end user has your NFT or token, you could allow them access to an exclusive part of your web3 game, your web3 app that requires a paid membership, or gated community access that owners of a community NFT can only access.
